About Seth Chalmers

Founded in 1910, the Boy Scouts of America is one of the country’s largest youth organizations, with nearly 3 million members. All Boy Scout operations are administered by a National Council and governed by a National Executive Board.

Boy Scouts of America is divided into four regions: South, North, Central, and East. Each region is divided into local councils, such as Arizona’s Grand Canyon Council. Councils are divided into geographical areas, which are then separated by Boy Scout Districts.

The Grand Canyon Council Boy Scouts of America consists of more than 20 districts serving communities in northern, eastern, central, and southwestern Arizona. The Grand Canyon Council works with chartered organizations that organize and support individual units.

Nationally, Boy Scouts of America consists of approximately 115,000 individual scouting units, which are chartered by various faith-based, civic, and educational organizations. Each chartered organization is responsible for providing meeting facilities, quality leadership, and a representative that coordinates operations for each unit in the charter.

Seth Chalmers is owner of Chalmers Engineer Services, Inc., an engineering firm based in Tempe, Arizona.
